The time has finally come! Our baby girl isn’t a baby anymore….. This week we sold her crib to a sweet family who is welcoming their first girl at the end of the month. I was so happy that her beautiful crib was going to a new baby to enjoy as much as Kenni did. But when it was gone I knew that meant a new phase in her life.
Dun, Dun, Dun, DUUNNNNNN……….Toddlerhood!
That word is both exciting and scary all at the same time. One minute you are holding your little baby in the hospital and the next minute they are telling you to SHHHHH because their favorite show is on 😏
I’m not sure who it was harder on to transform her room into a big girl bedroom. Kenni or Mom…….. Well ok – Definitely mom, but we did it and she LOVES it.
Here are all the deets to her New Toddler Bedroom:
BED: I didn’t want to do a standard toddler bed and then have to buy her a new bed in two years when she has out grown it. We decided to go with a platform bed. It’s super low to the ground and if she falls out of it… It’s not a far fall.
I was able to find this super cute Upholstered Platform bed on Wayfair & you guys it was only 180 BUCKS!!!!!!
As for her bedding I wanted to do something that she could grow into. So I went with this Geometric Metallic Print.
Next, and Most important in a little girls room. Her very first vanity!!! We found this Guidecraft Classic White Vanity on Amazon.
Last, I had to figure out what decor we should do. She loves being outside and enjoying the lush landscape of Charlotte but I didn’t want her to forget Arizona where she was born and spent her first year.
I love shopping small businesses and ESTY is my go to!!!!
The two Cactus Pictures are from JessBowTravels I loved that they were made in Phoenix. Just a little piece or home for us. Her dresser is from Buy Buy baby and is no longer available but I here is one that is super similar Notting Hill Double Dresser.
One of my favorite Etsy shops for wooden wall art like the on below is EloiseOdetta
The same shop also makes Macrame Art which was a absolute MUUUSSST for her room.
The Prada picture is from Z Gallerie but here is one from Wayfair for half the price.
And her flower letter is from BegoniaRoseCo
We had a blast Decorating Kennedy’s Big Girl Bedroom and I think she likes it.
